Hot Chocolate and...
Well OK, it's late... Having read some more about the adventures of Julius Ceasar has rather sharpened my mind than make me ready to sleep, so I've gone for the Hot Chocolate approach... So to finish the teaser off, it's Hot Chocolate and... Blueberry Liqueur
The Hot Chocolate is from Tesco, but the Blueberry Liqueur is from Fonthill Glebe Wines. Picked up a 20cl bottle from the local farmers' market before Christmas and the 20% ABV liqueur is a nice little accompaniment to the aforementioned bedtime drink aswell as over ice cream...
That was so nice I shall have to have another :D

Then you wont be going out and causing drunken chaos on the streets of Britain then, will you Seffy? :D Good for you girl... everything in moderation :)

moderation, pffft. i spit on your "moderation."
nine is impressive. i'm awful proud, lever, awful proud ...
i'm a good drunk though, i have at least a shot of jose cuervo tequila every nite before bed. makes sure i sleep easily and well.
but oh i shouldnt say things like that in front of seffie. no need corrupting the youth ...

hehe. I was actually asked if I wanted 'something extra' in my orange juice the other day but I turned it down.
However ::looks round shiftily:: I am partial to a baileys now and again...
And its ok. I'm already a bit corrupted anyhoo.

I never got into the liqueur thing, and hardly ever into the spirits. Hmm, I did used to enjoy the odd glass of barley wine or a strong bottled beer from Belgium. Hmm maybe I should plan an outing through the tunnel soon!
Makes mental note to check out the availability of barley wine, havn't seen it around for ages.

Rebekah: So you spit huh? You belch and fart too? LOL And a couple of 'slammers' before bedtime's enough to make anyone sleep well...
Seffy: Hehe, Baileys is cool, and used to be well partial to the odd vodka or ten - just makes me forgetful though, or is that alcool... crikey, I don't remember bringing her home with me last night... *eek*
Brom-man: Ah the Barley Wine - stuff like Gold Label, those little gold cans of potent 10%ABV venom? Used to drop one of those in a half of Guiness... Irish Velvet I think they were called.
May poach your mental note there, Brom-man, not seen those little cans for ages...
Pepper: Wheat Beer - that'll be stuff like Hogaarden then? I really fancied a pint or two at the Stag Night but was debating whether wheat beer goes well with curry (the Grolsch certainly didn't)
Honey Mead, though - not had any in years, not since being at the relatives' in Northumberland... Thanks for the remind Pepper, must put Mead on the list of things to grab this year :D

Yeah Lever, Gold Label was the universal one, available everywhere, it was OK but a bit "rough" round the edges. One of my faves was Greene Kings but I can't remember it's name, same goes for a Charles Wells B'Wine. OK, I'll do a search this side of London and post my findings when I get some data :-)

aggghhh... too much wine! Lever, today marks the start of my two month alcohol free lifestyle - not 100% how the hell I'm going to do this - but reading about other peoples drinking (habits) will help... for all you under-aged Bailey's drinkers out there - be warned - you will find yourself drinking cheap sherry before long, and then its a fast slippery slope!

Brom-man: Wow, Greene King & Charles Wells, never knew they did Barley Wine - but then I did hear that Adnams, Southwold, do wine as well as that wicked Broadside ale of theirs...
Look forward to seeing the research, Brom-man :D
Davinian: No alcohol? The best of luck to you friend. I only drink at weekends now, so that's a big big step to go 100% alcohol free for 8 weeks. It'll be interesting to see how you find that, but do it, whatever temptations the devil (whoever he is) throws in your path...
A couple of years back an old buddy, Andy, said he gave up the grain for about 4 months and reckons he lost about 3 stone just from not beering it up.
Having not bought much beer/wine in January has actually left me with a good wad of cash to spend on other things :D
