Must get out more...

So, hitting the New Forest, visiting a brewery shop, spending a day in a museum, seeing friends and family, seeing new places, drinking and eating in a different pub every night is just great, but since coming back home there's been this sort of strange feeling like I should be doing something else...

...yeah, apart from getting rid of the snot...

Like the dreams of the last few days...

In one I was seeing this business woman, who I've not seen for about 6 months... not my type, the suited female, so why her?

Then the next night I dreamt I was asked to sign up to a basketball team and then invited to play guitar in a band, and something else too, but I can't remember what it was. I'm not interested in basketball, my guitar style... needs work.

So, what's going on?

Getting out more is a good idea, maybe seeing Bloc Party on Friday will sort me out :D

    Hiya from "Comical Ali"-shiitake :)

Just leave you to say HI and glad to see blue sky in your blog!
I really wanna see real BLUE sky which we hardly can seen in my homeland - snowy snowy cold rural area of Japan!!

Luckily now it stopped snowing and we got some of pale blue sky + white cloud + sunshine!! :D ♪

Aye I'm a Baka, but in some ways I'm not Baka @ all...you know man?
I love UK's great commedy shows + actually I have great Brit girlfriend in Tokyo, maybe will see her soon to talk 'bout her book's translation. She's a impulsive'N'powerful Cornwall woman, much more like-minded one I suppose...aye~ we're so energetic!

    Au revoir, merci beaucoup l'angleterre!

Ah Lever, as if I'd say indie music is better just to annoy you...

I SAID IT COS IT IS!!!!

    ahem. excuse that little explosion.
But hey, if you're going to see Bloc Party...theyre like the indie-ist people ever.
Say Hi to russel btb - he's the guitarist who looks like a squirrel.

Shina: Hey Shina, welcome aboard :D

Blue skies make me happy so let's hope they can spread some happiness to everyone else :-) Blue skies forever, Forever Blue Skies yay. And sunshine too :D

Snowy snowy cold rural area of Japan sounds idyllic if you have something to keep you warm.

British comedy is good but then the Japanese sense of fun is so alive too - we've got your "Takeshi's Castle" over here and it's hilarious.

Say hello to your friend from Cornwall. I'd love to know what she thinks of Tokyo. Does she have a blog?

And you know French too - Awesome :D

Seffy: LOL - You just had to didn't you :p

Anyway, you're welcome to say what you like here, Seffy, you're in good company :D

Haha,OK, so you can't really classify their (Bloc Party's) sound so we'll just chuck 'em in the big old "Indie" pigeon hole for now ;)

I'm looking forward to this. My tickets only cost £25 - I hear that some people paid up to £100 each for some tickets !!!

    Seffy: PS

Oh, yeah, and I'll take a bag of nuts for Russ, I'll say they're from you ;)

Strange, I had a dream about somone who I link to on my blog, nothing "interesting" to report, however, I was surprised to find that she had a very English accent. (in my dreams of course)

Wot no more Mantaworld? A celebration of Euro-TransAm broadcast for the whole internets to see, now disregarded? That was confusing for a while.

I bid thee, release not the Mantaworld Funs, but instead forget this Bloc Party of yours and their faux neo-communist sound politic with shouty shouty yelp and Fopp friendly cover art. Go and see Clayhill, they have no hard rocking but instead the backing of indie film makers and Eng Lit graduates. They promise nothing and thus can delight you with the obtuse pleasures of surly sulks and the happiness of securing national tours in not-too-bad venues.

Brom-man: "Takeshi's Castle" rocks - just like when we used to have "It's a Knockout"... they bought it back but why did it go away again?

PS thanks for the headsup - I guess you must be using IE and the CSS went a bit haywire...

Pepper: LOL, MantaWorld lives on but is now a completely seperate entity from one's blogging, sorry for the confusion there ;)

    New URL is...
    http://www.foreverblueskies.com

Nope, Bloc Party stay firmly on the map, young pepper, the Clayhill mob can wait for another day ;) There's still System of a Down to see too... much nashing and a wailing... heaviness abounds :D

Yo again. £25 was what a payed to see Sarah Mclachlan (well, hah, technically I didnt pay, I mean, the 'rents payed ;P)
I'm going to see the gods that are Kasabian (actually they look more like jesus what with the hair and stuff so...)
and it's costin me (again, the rents) £15 pounds!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
PS. Lever, u seem like a dude, so if you get Q magazine this week (which dude's tend to get, I find) there's a V good picture of the glorious RICKY WILSON <3 wearing some cute mitten thingies so look out for that!! sorry this be so long ;P

And another thing! I went on Bloc Party's website via your link just then, and you couldn't get more indie if u tried!!
all they need now is...no, they are officially the word "indie" in every way.

You don't like Alexisonfire do you? (looks up and down)

  • At Tue Mar 01, 09:42:00 PM, Blogger Lever said…

Seffy: I know nothing of this Mclachlan wench, who is she?

Kasabian, whereabouts you seeing them, Seff? You got good venues oop norf? Only ever saw bands in Leeds...

I haven't read Q for ages, so I will make a point of going down the newsagents to grab Q and check Whipppet boy's mittens... hold on... cute, nah, I don't do cute ;) LOL I bet they're oven gloves...

OK, you win, we'll call the Bloc Party boys "Indie", with or without a packet of nuts and an independant record label ;)

So you'll have to educate me once more, Seff, who's Alexisonfire? :D

Seffy, you'll have to let us know how kasabian goes... I almost bought tickets for them the other day but decided against it in the end.

Lever, BlocParty are certianly, indie. Got a kind of wannabe post punk vibe going on too, but I still think the roots of the band are firmly planted in the indie genre ;)

Looking forward to friday though... Gonna be excellent fun.

SEbasic: LOL, OK, I hear ya, so they're on V2 Records, a subsidiary of Virgin and definately an independant record label band ;)

I wonder if Nathan Barley will be there...?

hah, see someone agrees with me.
And I will let y'all know how kasabian go: I hope to make some amusing films with my digital camera.
And alexisonfire is this AWFUL heavy metal band who have a singer, AND a roarer. seriously, someone who just ROARS over the top of the singing!!
