It's a Mini Adventure
Yeah OK, OK, that's the ad slogan for the Mini, but there IS going to be a mini adventure of sorts this weekend...
...I was gonna blog on the title of "Crazy Kids" after last night's experience in the dojo... where Sensei's first comment was "kids! tsk" and he rolled his eyes, only to have a lesson with some new faces, one of which was a 7 year-old lad with what I can only guess was ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Man, I thought I was random, but this guy... whoah... after 15 minutes of laughing, titting about and making sound effects with every move, you could see Sensei's mood reach, what can only be safely called, "point break"... which was a good film, incidently. But anyway, like I say, I was gonna say all that but I won't...
Instead... it's off to "The Valleys" for some "Mountain Mayhem" this weekend...
...or in other words heading off to Abergavenny, Wales for a weekend with the lads; Buggy and Hovercraft racing.
No paintballing though :( I've never done paintball before, so that will have to wait. The groom-to-be didn't want us shooting him in the tackle or anything so he chickened out.
And talking of chickening out, who's the only one of a group of 9 to be going there on the Friday night to check out the local area and get some biking done on the Saturday morning? Well, I figured, you can't go to Wales and not get up in the hills or take the bike - and if it means going on me jack, then so be it.
It's actually really exciting as I've only ever been to the Black Mountains once (it was VERY foggy and I bumped into the SAS on exercise) and spent a very long day in the SONY factory at Bridgend... so to see Wales will be good to satisfy my modest travelling appetite. Maybe this is the start of greater things... more getting away from it all...
So if anyone knows any good pubs in Abergavenny and/or any fairly light bike trails (hardtail and no SPDs) then let me know :) I've been to the MBWales site... but it looks like you have to do a bit of research...
Assuming I was going to get muddy this weekend too, I just bought a pair of used German Para Boots - they're soft and supple and someone else has kindly worn them in for me :) I checked them for size, splits, tears, general overall condition etc. and they're bloody perfect. When I go them home, you know what freaked me out...? They've only got my initials in them !!! How freaky is that? :)

Sounds like an awesome weekend. I actually have a completely random story involving Wales. I remember when I first got Air's Moon Safari I read a customer review on Amazon. That customer said that the first track, Femme D'Argent, always reminded him of hiking in the Welsh countryside, because that's what he'd listen to.
That review's always stuck with me, so now whenever I listen to Femme D'Argent, I can't help but think of hiking in the Welsh countryside, despite never having been there.

[-0-]: LOL random's cool; lateral thinking - good for the mind :)
Now that the info has been passed on, Femmme D'Argent will be the soundtrack for the weekend, cheers dude :D I'll let you know if the score fits the director's cut. I thjink Wales will be good - I'll let ya know :)
Rebekah: More cool stuff is needed though. Paintball, roller coaster rides, flying a plane again, a glider would be cool, up in a balloon, shooting... so many things to do...
I gotta say that exercise is good for the brain. After some good physical activity brian cells and inspiration are always sparked up :D
Yes. Fun will be had...
...and you stay smooshy ;)

Ok. SO "titting about"? Did you just make a verb of the slang for breast? What does that actually mean? I mean, I can vouch for my own boobs when I say that they don't do too much on their own, but from the context it sounds like this boy was quite actively being an annoyance. And does the verb form of boob mean "annoying", as well?
:)
And I'm assuming
"shooting him in the tackle" is code for messing with his privates, aye? Smart man-the groom should try and keep those parts working at least until after the honeymoon. ;)
Sounds like a blast of a weekend, made even more perfect by boots with your initials (and YES that is freaky.) Enjoy, Lever...

BBFK: Titting about - to act the tit, from the old English informal - "a stupid or despicable person" - as so enthusiastically spouted by Messrs Cleese & Palin in numerous Monty Python sketches. Yes, the young lad was being very annoying - but it was funny too. And British boobs are just tits or gaffs. What are American boobs like, Becky? LOL ;)
The groom kept his tackle intact - though the wedding day is a month away...
Boots - check. Enjoyment - check :)
Brom-man: Haha, the "stormtrooper" boots are better than our standard issue boots, Brom-man. Not only were they a good fit but very comfortable too - highly recommended :)
And as for our language drive, it's defending these shores against the likes of da "bling"... :)
Paul: LOL and "I about lost my shit!" is a good one too, Paul. Oh yeah, and the full term is "wedding tackle"... Haha
Rebekah: Smooshy is go... :)
TMRB: Wow, excellent - to both "Moon Safari" being on the shelf, you going to see the Bravery AND waving "DO DIRT!" too LMAO
LOL and I suppose Neil Armstrong won the Tour de France 6 times... ROFL
Did you beat the chav-kind with the birch for being so damn... chavvy?
Jay: LOL, my own titting around is oft inclined to be more adult in nature, so draw from that what you will ;)
