Time to go feed the Ducks

Hope my car's OK, left it at the pub last night. It's a couple of miles away so gotta cycle there and chuck the BMX in the boot/ trunk/ concert hall/ gaping chasm behind the tailgate, whatever. They shouldn't clamp or tow 'round there, that'd be well mean. Time to find out...

So...

I might go feed the ducks on the way...

...but then everything's fresh round here so maybe the ducks'll just have to go hungry :D

    *You* are a terrible tease. I almost feel bad for the ducks and hope that some food arrives for them, soon. ;)
    Actually, there was a girl and boy duck on my lawn last night looking quite hungry, but I had no food to give them, either....
    And *why* would a trunk be called a boot, BTW? (Although, I'm sure the word "boot" would sound cute with your accent...) ;)

    And likewise why would a boot be called a trunk? Tsk, you'll be telling us a tap is a fawcett next...

    Crazy, you can say that. 12hours out of home today, and most of that sitting around and then answering tech questions, and then sitting around again. My work is all "soundbite" style, very odd and annoying at the moment...

    Good luck on the US/UK lingo! My folks are in Calif at the moment, and my sister emigrated in 99 and has moved about a bit, but now in new england!

    I have an irrational fear of all things avian. I don't know where that comes from, but I'd definitely be staying away from the ducks.

    Hope the car's okay, it would be sad after it survived the kafuffle from the night before!

    I'm biased towards the ducks here. There are a ton of geese, but like....1/10 of the population around the lake are ducks.

    Wow, your sis moved to the states? Obviously she's doing fine or she'd be back here :) Just wandering about the migration habits of brits and where they tend to end up stateside. (Did that sound like the Bill Oddie to you?)

    Thx Jay, my car was fine *big sigh of relief* - it was the other car, my housemate's that got "done" the other night. Luckily the pub car park had big brother cameras...

    TMRB: LMAO No, but I take it that the old city's past its sell-by date? You'll have to tell us about it sometime and I'll swap you for a Farnborough story (yawning) ;)

    LOL - getting out of bed early 'cos you thought 7 was 6... well 777 is not the number of the beast ;)

    RahX: Yeah the ducks are the small fry 'round here... we got Canada Geese and Swans - the ducks and Moorhens are the ones who get bullied :|
