London Blasts

I get an email from a friend who's working in London this week and she says it's OK, she's alright but the mobile network is not working in London right now... and that "despite the explosions and mild panic setting in"... WTF?

So I turn on the TV and lo and behold... bomb blasts in London. And on the BBC website too...

Well... that's nice... me and some buddies are supposed to be going to London tonight but the tube has been hit... selfish terrorist MOFOs... they're just SO damn inconsiderate. Killing people, injuring innocents, destroying transport and disrupting services...

yeh they are one hells of an ar*ehole, as I said on the dp forums, luckily my cousins (3 families) were visiting yesterday and were due back today but after hearing the news ...

& they live in central london too where the attacks happened, guess it was only a matter of time before alqaida did london over

Shina: Thx Shina - they just cancelled the show in London tonight in light of the blasts. The police advised against travelling to London so postponing it was the only option.

Piniyini: Good to know the family are safe, dude. I'm sure there'll be a few reassuring phonecalls before the day is out :)

My BBFK: It's the Londoners and those who work in the big smoke we should be concerned about.. they have to deal with this, the poor sods.

At least during the blitz we knew exactly who we were up against and went and kicked *his* nazi ass, with your help of course ;)

Oliver: Hey dude :) Yeah me too. Selfishly annoyed that they spoilt our fun, but also pissed off that this happened. It doesn't achieve anything, just makes our resolve even greater. Look forward to seeing you again on the 7th Aug though ;) :)

The thing that gets me about these scumbags is that they swan around being all normal and innocent, whilst all the while they're plotting to do damage to people... that's the bit that really pisses me off... at least if they were honest and open we could know who they were and keep an eye on the b*st*rds...

Oh well, that's the sort of answer you get from a guy who's happy to wear his heart on his sleeve.. just wish the whole world worked like that :|

It gets to the point when the news on TV is just so depressing...and all we can do is hope that everyone is safe and well, and wait for the phone calls or emails that tell us this is so.

I think a lot of brits are desensitised as well. As they were discussing on the radio (Virgin FM) as I was driving home, the most obvious emotion in London this evening was anger, and resolve to ensure it doesn't affect daily life.

As with the IRA, if we change our way of life even one tiny amount, then they've won.

Don't let these bastards win.

Sorry the gig got cancelled mate. As always the brits carry on with life and hardly bat an eyelid at yet another terrorist act committed on our soil.

Glad to hear you're ok.....dont mention bombs in the airport they lack humour in customs nowadays :)

My heart goes out to all those caught up in the atrocity and i wish i was home to lend a hand....as futile as that would be.
