The Prodigal Sons

Put 4 lads together to go see The Prodigy and what do you get? A bloody good laugh. A, O, C and YT hit Brixton on Sunday night for the month-delayed Prodigy gig we'd been waiting for since the day it got cancelled when those "dickheads with rucksacks" made London travel more interesting...Props to C who had half a dozen cans of lager before even reaching London, even though he'd only got out of work an hour before I picked him up. Said downing of cans produced physiological affects requiring the draining of lizards... i.e. a legal piss in the street. More beer was required before venturing into the Brixton Academy, so we hit the Canterbury Arms for ice cold lager before getting into the old theatre to watch the boys from Essex making some noise.
They did a 90 minute set and they were good... they did play Spitfire and Outer Space which kept me happy, with Breathe and a weird version of Firestarter, Medusa's Path... anything else, I couldn't tall ya, I was too busy digging me groove and trying not to stamp on my buddies' toes.
Home was fun too, requiring jumping on a No 2 (bus) 'cos the tube station was closed - "difficulties" at Victoria station apparently (f@ckers!), Hi5'ing everyone in the Stockwell Road, bartering for cans of warm beer and pissing in the street again (at that legal peep-show of a urinal again) this time with an audience of rubbernecks on the bus...
So yeah, we got back to the 'boro nearly 2 and a half hours after the gig had finished...
Right, where's the next gig? I don't care who it is or where it's at... just getting there and back is always a good laugh...

"firestarter"!! *jiggles a little bit her chair, imagining* Ah, I woulda liked that...
'Course seein' you shake your ass would have been even better; in fact, the cat's meow, I'd say.
And your pictures...Well, does this *huge grin* get my point across? ;)

And must get that pocket camera sorted to take better stage shots... those were the best of about a dozen photos :( Ah well LOL It wasn't the winning, it was the taking part :)

Aww, you guys got Medusa's Path? Goddamn, I wanted that when they played Sydney. Oh well. Still, I had an awesome night, probably helped by a certain Mr E (it was my first time).
And those urinals look awesome. So long as there's somewhere to wash your hands.

Rebekah: ...jiggle, jiggle, jiggle... LOL Oops, sorry Rebekah, didn't know you were watching :)
Yeah, they did "Smack my Bitch Up" too... nah, they're still going... and making a LOT of noise too with drums and guitars thrown in for good measure... that's what I like to see/hear :)
Piniyini: Man, it was weird... it's like you can pee and watch the traffic going by... eerie feeling that...
Cheers dude, we all had a wicked time :) C is just a monster! LOL
[-o-] : LOL, nice one dude :) I remember you saw 'em a few months back... I was hoping they'd start on Spitfire... I just had my stage head on, you know? Expecting a kick and a blast of light like the intro to that last album...
Nowhere to wash hands in that place... that's quite disgusting thinking about it...
Oliver: LOL, you too huh? Jeez... so it took you an hour and a half to get across London? Man, what's happening to that place?
NWs, glad you could make it :) If I spot any more hot events in the run up to Christmas (did I just say that?) then I'll grab you a ticket, dude! :D

Tescosuicide: Dude, the next time we're on the same continent we'll have to go out and party, man; bring the girls along and have a good knees-up LOL :)
It was nice to revisit dance days, but no way was anything near the times when everyone used to wear kangol hats, face masks, blow whistles and horns... man, those were krazy days indeed :D
Oliver: OK, we'll have to hook up again, dude :) I need to be able to have as much beer as big C had LOL
LMAO - Booger? Nah, that's just a hefty old tuft of nasal hair, dude ;) Sorry what was that? You wanted me to PhotoShop a booger IN there? ;) LOL

Im no big fan of dance music, though i think you'd need to be dead not to find the sounds of the prodigy worthy of shaking your ass (yes even my ageing(and widening) dinosaur ass).
Lever i think you should be banned from blogging you make me homesick

Keeefer: Right on there; The Prodigy are a bit breakbeat for dancing to, but still funky nonetheless :) Keeefer? You getting a scaly behind there dude? You should get that checked out...
And nah, you can't ban me mate; either you get over here for some pub visits, or we'll have to send you an aid package... :)

I thought you were joking when you said Legal Piss. It just couldn't be true, but it is. Maybe they can put up some of those liquid sanitizers to help with the hand washing. When I get to London and the first thing I want to see is the public urinal. Is this progress or regress? :)

SFMD: LOL, it's quite strange isn't it? I took a leak and laughed at the number of people who were starring at me whilst I was pointing percy at the porcelain...
...but what about those whom it may bother being starred at whilst taking a piss? What if it was raining? What if it was snowing? A thunderstorm even? Standing in a stainless steel booth with your hand on your johnson whilst millions of volts of static crackle through the sky...?
Progress or Regress...? The jury is out ;) :)

Oooh yes, must not use metal urinal when there is lightning. I can see the headlines now. "5 fried while takin a wee" :)
