Goodbye My Sweet Boy
I had no intention of turning this little corner of the Internet into a "cat blog" but today I think you'll excuse me if I just pay tribute to my boy.
His name was Huey, and he was a big soft black & white cat who enjoyed nothing more than lying on the bed, enjoying the warmth of whoever was there to provide it. He was only 6 or 7 years old, I cannot remember exactly, but he had a twin sister, Saffron, who didn't eat as much and stayed out at night more often than he did.
But last night he stayed out longer than normal, he didn't come home for his breakfast...
He also had a heart condition, a heart murmur, and maybe this was how he went...
I will miss him dearly. Goodbye My Sweet Boy. Goodnight.

Mummy/Crit: Thanks M/C :) Yeah, it's such a shame when you get that phonecall & a visit from someone saying they think they've found your cat... I even had to skip work to go collect his poor lifeless little body :(

Man thats harsh.
As a cat iwner....do we really own them?....from one dumb ass fool who feeds, pampers and generally spoils the true dominant race on this planet to another, you have my sympathies. I hope he surprises you by turning up, one of mine disapeared for 48hrs once.
Still on the flip side it means you can get a kitten..............

Hi Lever. Sorry about your cat, he looks beautiful in the picture. We have a cat as well and love her much. Eric the Cat (link from my blogspot) who used to own friends of ours had to be put to sleep recently, very sad. Me and Bill might see you in the Prince of Wales sometime, if you like real ale?

Huey looks a bit like my cat, Raku, slightly different
markings and nicest personality you could hope for in a
cat.
Reading your post made me hope that he would come back
after a few 'nights on the tiles' but your later comment
made me sad. They do become members of you family. :(
