5 things ya didn't know about meme...
OK, my friend Summer, purveyor of cool belt buckles tagged me in the comments a couple of posts ago so I'll do her the honour of jotting down some aspects that you guys & girls (probably) don't know about me :)
- I'm actually a lesbian trapped in a man's body.
- I was born in Scotland but have never seen "The Granite City" where I was born nor the fishing village where I spent the first 6 months of my life...
- I once inherited a dog named Vomit.
- When I was just 14 I climbed a Lake District mountain in the snow using an ice axe & crampons but no rope when a HUGE snow blizzard descended on us in the middle of the climb...
- I went banger racing about 10 years ago and completely wrote off my 1979 Opel Kadett. It raced 7 times (under the race number 69) and finally gave up when my wheels got totalled in a multiple-car smash. I ended up with a broken nose, a chipped kneecap, a very badly bruised elbow and put my teeth through my bottom lip. It was fun though :)

I can honestly say, those are 5 things I never knew about you :D.
By the way, where are you living now? Stefan has asked me twice if you moved to the states...

Vicious Summer: Well that's good then, Mission Accomplished :)
I'm back in Farnborough for the next couple of years I reckon... we were only in Virginia for a week with relatives and then in Connecticut staying at a friend's, so it was just a 2 week vacation.
As for moving to the US, well I'll have to see some more of it before swanning over to buy an amazing-sized house and a truck, though me and BEcky could end up anywhere inthe world...
Gotta catch up with you and Stefan sometime soon though :)

Kat E: Thanks mate :) Yeah, we <3 it too =D And how very American with that spelling... shall have to report back how it goes down in England...
Red: I think I got it from Kohl's department store... :)
Anytime, it's always nice to see what friends are up to :) And yes, I shall try and entertain the troops a little more this year, there's plenty to post about :)

Hah! I want to go banger racing! Did you bring in your old car or did you put one together for the race?
I read the Wiki entry for banger racing and it says it DOES go on the US. Maybe I'll hook up a camper to my van and join one of those "special event" races where trucks race around the track with campers in tow! I would most definately be killed.

Monks: I used my old roadcar and spent a few hours prepping it up. We removed all the glass, unwanted trim, removed the other seats and put a cage in it and moved the radiator to where the back window was and painted it red, gold & green... I have a really crap photograph of it somewhere, I might have to dig it out...
Yeah, it was fun so you should definitely give it a go and report back :) But don't take your van please, it'll get wrecked... might as well take some rotten old heap you don't care about and demolish that instead ;)

Yeah, I don't thing Virginia and Connecticut would sway me to moving to the USA either :D. Once we are settled in, you and BBF should come down and we'll show you what it's really about!
