Tornado!
Well, apart from being on the map for the Farnborough Airshow, yesterday we had a little bit of fame for a Tornado that came through our neighbourhood. No, not a Tornado like this it was one like this... only smaller. Well, quite a bit smaller.
But it did knock over trees, rip off roofs, topple a chimney or two, overturn a caravan, completely destroy a bus shelter and get us on the nation's BBC news at ten last night :)

The world is definitely getting weirder, those things are only supposed to be in the US and movies with Bill Paxton!
Earlier this year there was almost one in Barra, where "Whisky/"Rockets Galore" was filmed and where my folks come from. [link]
Who's to blame? George Bush?

BulbBoy: It sure is, and although I love the power of nature I hate to see trees toppled... what a hippy I am... that's why the wasps' nest is still alive & buzzing in our loftspace...
NEways... :)
Yeah, that's cool that somebody spotted a tornado in Scotia and managed to film it too... tres cool.
Yeah, I'll blame it on Bush & co... us too to a certain extent, although our footprint is only 3x...

It is apparent by all this tornado action that the world is coming to an end. We had a Tornado in Rincon a few weeks ago. It toppled at least 15 trees on our property.
I say it is time to act recklessly, as we probably only have a few days left on earth.

Wow crazy...I would never imagine tornado in UK.
Hope the tornado didn't cause any damage on your properties.
Hey on the bright side you made the news. ;)

Monks: Dude, your tornado was a bit heftier than ours...
Yeah, let's all cast off our clothes, give up our jobs and party like it's 1999 right?
Jay: And we didn't tell you about the lack of roof on our bathroom, no tiles on the walls, builders mess everywhere... that's me that is, and builders-bum Becky ;)
Tawcan: Yeah, it was only a little one but quick and destructive.... all our ceilings lifted with the pressure but no damage here ;)
Yep, that got Farnborough on the map :)

No damage at all on this side of Farnborough...just got a little bit breezy. First I heard about it was when my sister texted me to ask if I was OK!
There was a Farnborough Twister in January too, just down the road from me near the co-op. We'll have to rename the Blackwater Valley "Tornado Valley" ;-)

At the time bit further, sort of Washigntonny way. Interestingly I then went West where they had a lot of shelters for your particular weather phenomenon, but sadly I saw none.
