HNY
We left Ohio and flew to NYC for a couple of days and then touched down in old Blighty on the 30th December, just in time to prep the house for the arrival of Becky's sister and her husband. Being a little jet-lagged ourselves we spent the best part of 12 hours labouring to get the house ready before dumping ourselves in our new spa bath at 1:30am on New Years Eve to drink a well-earned glass of cold white wine...
And when we woke up at 7am (not in the bath) we dragged ourselves off to Gatwick to pick up our jet-lagged people, drive them around the English countryside, through Guildford and Farnham and finally home to Farnborough. After dropping off suitcases we dragged our travel-weary relatives through the shops for a few more errands until I saw their eyes glaze over with tiredness... we took them home and let them get a well-earned rest at 2pm.
So by 8pm we were in the Crown & Cushion, Minley (you know, our local pub just on the other side of the forest) where we dropped off the Subaru and met my bro, his girlfriend and my step mum. William & Julie, landlord and landlady of the aforementioned drinking establishment, put on quite a party... there was a Thai curry buffet, good music, good people and a curiously-shaped ice sculpture through which alcohol was poured to dribble out of the bell-shaped end... Becky took a good mouthful, so be prepared for an edit here and photos to follow...
I'm off to cycle through the wet woods around Hawley Lake and retrieve the Subaru from the Crown & Cushion car park... HaPPY NeW YeaR :D

Mummy/Crit: Hehe :p
Yeah, er... No. My feet haven't touched the ground and I can't wait to sit on my arse and watch TV and be completely fucking selfish and look after me and me alone for a while. I bet that doesn't happen until late January/early Feb but then I must have been bad in a past life to deserve all this... ;)
Kat E: Hehe... maybe tomorrow huh? Gotta rescue 'em from the bro-in-laws' camera. OK today then, later ;) And thanks mate, will pass on the love :)
Rebekah: Oh you got 'em? Cool :) I hope they weren't too late? :)
Yeah, cheers mate, I gotta say thanks to you too... although my cat's at the vets after Noel stuk a pencil up its arse... ;)

Happy new year to you too !! Here's to a few more posts in 2008 than in 2007..... perhaps :-)
Minley eh? I remember going to the Meade Hall a few times in the early/mid 90s, although that's when it was open. Think only been to the C&C about twice, but then I'm the wrong side of town ....

Happy new year to all of you :-)
And belated congrats!
The crown and Cushion needs some serious research by Yours Truly methinks.

Rebekah: LOL erm, OK... so how do I get this pencil out again? Nah, that was really cute mate, I shall get organised in a couple of days and put said kitty in pride of place on my home monitor :)
Rederick: Yo! Yeah, go for it... same here, I've been a right slacker.
Yeah, the Crown & Cushion's a laugh, you should join us some time :) And yeah, everybody I speak to about the Meade Hall says they were there back then... to think I probably know everybody but didn't know it... LOL
Brom: Ah, Brom, thanks mate. Sorry we've not been in touch but it's been one of those whirlwind tours again this Christmas...
You are going to have to come by and have a Kentish Ale, a Spitfire or most definitely a pint of Bishop's Finger. Spitfire's overrated methinks...
