Some Solstice
June 21st. The longest day of the year. Summer Solstice. I had planned to drive or hitch to either Stonehenge or Avebury and watch the sunrise. But keeping an eye on the weather forecast was right - it's a grey cloudy morning and it's friggin' raining. Bummer Solstice more like. Maybe next year...

Ah, I thought of all you northern types as my baby screamed through the longest night of the year here. I was hoping you were having a good shortest night!

i was outside all day in it, too, and got a minor sunburn for my efforts!
i like summer though. i dont care if our town melts from the heat, just as long as it doesn't snow anymore for awhile ...
snow tends to ruin my outdoor nudity plans. :D

Blogger sucks! Let's try posting a third time aye?
mummy/crit: Mate, if it's any consolation I was up all night waiting for the weather to clear up, which it most certainly didn't... until Sunday LOL
rebekah: Pah, that'll learn ya :p
Man, I can't hack too much heat being a temperate northern European... so I can't wait until it snows again so me & Becks can go naked snowbathing again ;)

It would be pretty cool to go Stonehenge on the longest day of the year. Pretty cool except for all the damn hippies!
;D

bulbboy: Yeah, long-haired layabouts the lot of 'em. What's wrong with a good suit, a pristine shirt and a tie as wide as Glasgow? It should be Stonehenge PLC with advertising & sponsorship... we could have Nike and Microsoft plastered all over those stones and encourage the spongers to spend all their dole money on decent beer like Carling or Carlsberg...
