Snow? In April?
April 8th, 2008
Well, as you can see, the blossoms that have been around since February (!) are still here and now we’ve had snow (Sunday).
For us Brits, and especially us southerners, it was weird to get snow in April. Even more surprising was the rapid change in weather from driving rain (“I can’t sleep because the rain’s banging against my window” at 7:00am) to a thick blanket of snow (“Look, mummy, it’s SNOWING!” at 7:30am)
So rather than curl up and stay snug we all went out in it
Snow in April is nothing for us Canadians. Quite often it’d snow in August/Sept up in the mountains.
Tawcan: Hey dude, that’s what I mean
Nothing for you guys and really weird for us. The south of England is mild and not even mountainous either so it’s been a strange year for weather so far…
yeahhh so it snowed again last night … at this point in my life i am seriously considering just living on the sun, where there’s no chance of never seeing it and zero chance of snow …
it’s still a lovely picture though
Wow. Snow. I can only dream of such things most of the time… And that is a lovely picture!
Mummy/Crit: Mate, I’ll box you some up and send it over next time
Thx mate, me and Becks spent a lot of time out in the snow taking photos, it was a nice change from the rain
CLEARLY this proves that global warming is just a scam…
Kat E: Absolutely… It’s global cooling we want to worry about, right?
It’s all a bit screwy this weather if you ask me…
